MAD C visitó la ciudad de León Guanajuato del 29 de Julio al 02 de Agosto.
MAD C visited the city of Leon Guanajuato from July 29 to August 02.


El Instituto Municipal de la Juventud a cargo de su Director Pedro Rángel, fue quien se dio a la tarea de invitarla y de estar coordinando todo lo relacionado al muro y a su misma seguridad.

Ella estuvo pintando un gran muro exterior de las Oficinas de Derechos Humanos de este municipio, bajo la misma temática “Derechos Humanos”...
She was painting a large wall out side the offices of Human Rights of this municipality, under the same theme "Human Rights" ...


Algunos escritores de graffiti de ciudades como Silao, Irapuato, Salamanca, Moroleón, Guanajuato Capital, D.F., Guadalajara, Morelia, Acapulco, Colima, San Luis Potosí, Torreón, Saltillo, Etc. Acudieron a dichas instalaciones para ver trabajar a MAD C por primera vez en México. Y por supuesto, también pintaron ellos en diferentes puntos de la ciudad; Hasta tiempo hubo para la convivencia...
Some graffiti artists from cities like Silao, Irapuato, Salamanca, Moroleón, Guanajuato Capital, Guadalajara, Morelia, Acapulco, Colima, San Luis Potosi, Torreon, Saltillo, etc. They went to these offices to see MAD C´s work for her first time in Mexico. Some of our friends visited the wall.

León Guanajuato, México 2011.

Ese muro lo estuvimos pintando en anteriores semanas entre Nickis, Xape y yo (Kif). Está ubicado en la colonia Los Ángeles.
The wall we were painting in previous weeks between Nickis, Xape and I (KIF). Located in the neighborhood called Los Angeles.

Yo hice las letras de "KYF" y lo demás fue hecho por Xape y Nickis.
I did the letters of "KYF" and the rest was done by Xape and Nickis.

Es una mujer con Dreadlocks que está semejando a un lanza llamas (de los que podemos observar en los cruces de las principales avenidas), ella se encuentra en medio de una calle que podría pertenecer a cualquier urbe del mundo. Solo que de su boca salen pajaros, dichos pajaros son de libertad; Esa libertad que sentimos al hacer las cosas que nos apasionan y nos hacen sentirnos vivos...
She´s a woman with Dreadlocks who is looking like a flame thrower (like we see at the crossroads of major thoroughfares), she´s in the middle of a street that could belong to any city in the world. Except that from her mouth go birds, these birds are about liberty; Liberty that we feel to do things we love and make us feel alive...

En otra de las fotografías se pueden ver unos pajaros en el piso muertos. Ellos reflejan a las personas que dejan de ser ellos mismos, que dejan de vestirse como se sienten agusto, que dejan de hacer las cosas que les apasionan... A ellos la monotonía de la vida, y los roles sociales, o el sistema en general, los consume tanto al grado de sentirse muertos en vida.
In another photograph you can see some dead birds on the floor. They reflect the people who are no longer themselves, they stop dressing like they feel well, they stop doing things they´re passionate... The monotony of life, and social roles, or the system in general, consume so much theirs, to the degree that they feel dead.


Esos días estuvimos en compañía de Toska, su bebé, Bote, Brion y mucha pandilla más que estuvo cayendo todos los días... Hasta Picnic hicimos ahí...
Those days we were accompanied by Toska, her baby; Bote, Brion, and many more gang who were by going all days!... Until we did a picnic there!... Lol!.

Brenda Cruz "PINK", es originaria de la bella ciudad de Oaxaca, México. Es estudiante de Ingeniería Civil y pertenece al crew KBW. Les comparto una breve entrevista que hizo para Lady´s Graff. También será publicada en Inglés, y de ahora en adelante, trataré hacerlo con las siguientes...

Brenda Cruz "PINK" is originally from the beautiful city of Oaxaca Mexico. She´s a student of Civil Engineering and belongs to the crew KBW. I share a short interview we did get to Lady´s Graff. It´ll also be published in English, and from now on, I´ll try to do the following ones...

Cuéntanos brevemente, ¿En qué tiempo? y ¿Cómo fue que iniciaste a pintar graffiti?: Creo que como la mayoría de los chicos escritores, empecé en la secundaria por unos compañeritos; Me llamaba tanto la atención, que empecé a pintar mis libretas, los baños y mesas de la escuela. Todo empezó como un juego, nunca me imagine que esto del graffiti iba a ser tan importante en mi vida.

You tell us briefly, What time and How was that you started to paint graffiti?: I think like most writers boys, I started in high school by a few classmates, I called so much attention, I started painting my notebooks, toilets and tables at the school. It all started as a game, I never imagined that this about graffiti was to be so important in my life.

¿Qué significado tiene el graffiti en tu vida?: Para mí el graffiti significa mucho, por que es algo que me gusta, y más que nada, disfruto hacerlo. Es gran parte de mí!.

What does the graffiti in your life?: For me means a lot graffiti, because it´s something I like, and most of all, I enjoyit. It´s a big part of me!.

¿Cómo podrías definir tu estilo?: Siempre trato de mejorar mi trabajo, ser diferente y no repetitiva!.

How would you define your style?: I always try to improve my work, be different and I´m not repetitive!.

¿Te gusta trabajar con otra clase de técnicas y de materiales, no tan relacionados a los utilizados para hacer graffiti?: Solo utilizo aerosol, las demás técnicas me llaman la atención, pero nunca lo he intentado.

Do you like working with other kinds of techniques and materials, not so related to those used to make graffiti?: I only use sprays, another techniques call my atention, but I´ve never tried.

¿A qué perdonajes admiras?: Siempre he admirado el "Graffiti Femenino", y a todas las chicas escritoras sin excepción alguna, creo que todas podemos llegar muy lejos si nos lo proponemos.

What do you persons admire?: I´ve always admired the "Graffiti Women", and all female writers without exception, I think we can all get very far if we choose to.

¿Alguna de ellas ha influido en tu trabajo?: No.

Do any of them influenced your work?: No.

¿Cómo ves la escena del graffiti actualmente?: Hoy en día el graffiti es muy extenso. Ya que hay más escritores, especialmente mujeres; Y el graffiti femenino es más respetado a comparación de anteriores años. En general hay más personas que lo apoyan.

How do you see graffiti scene now?: Now, graffiti is very large. So there are more writers, especially women; And the female graffiti writers is more respected to comparison to previous years. In general there are more people supporting it.
